Monika Cosson, Mezzo Soprano

Monika "Mo" Cosson began her career as a member of the highly esteemed long-standing choral group The Gregg Smith Singers in New York City in 1994, followed by an internship with the Adirondack Festival of American Music in Saranac Lake, NY. She has performed opera roles with New Orleans Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Southwest, Jefferson Performing Arts Society, and Mobile Opera. Her concert credits include guest appearances with the New Orleans Philharmonic Orchestra, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Canticum Novum Chamber Chorus and Orchestra, Santa Fe Community Orchestra, and the Symphony Chorus of New Orleans. Ms. Cosson has been a featured soloist with many organizations including the Santa Fe Federated Republican Women, New Mexico State Senate, New Mexico State Capitol, The City of Santa Fe - Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain, and Santa Fe Film Festival.

In addition to performing, Ms. Cosson is the Music Minister at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida. A full-time online student at Loyola University New Orleans, she will graduate with a degree in Ministry & Theology in the Spring of 2024. Beyond her musical endeavors, she enjoys practicing and teaching yoga at URU Yoga & Beyond.
